“Catfish” will resume production after sexual misconduct claims against the show’s host, Nev Schulman, were found “not credible and without merit.”
The news comes just one month after a former participant on the show made allegations that Schulman and a female production assistant sexually harassed her.
“Although we never received a formal complaint, MTV and Critical Content immediately engaged an independent third party investigator,” a MTV spokesperson told Fox News.
“The independent investigator found the allegations made in the YouTube videos to be not credible and without merit,” the statement continued.

“Given the results of the investigation, ‘Catfish’ will resume filming. We take these matters very seriously and are committed to providing a safe working environment.”
The Blast broke the story … the alleged victim filed two police reports on May 25 with the Houston Police Department “for what happened during my participation on the show.” MTV halted productionbefore the alleged victim went public in a detailed YouTube video.
As for Schulman, he has always denied any sexual misconduct took place, telling The Blast in an exclusive statement, “The behavior described in this video did not happen and I’m fortunate that there are a number of former colleagues who were present during this time period who are willing to speak up with the truth.”
