Young sued Pornhub after finding an image of him on the site

A young man from New Jersey, United States, filed a millionaire lawsuit against the firm MindGeek, owner of adult site Pornhub , after finding his face on the website.

As the Gizmodo news site gathers , everything started after a friend of Edward Kelly told him that a photograph of him appeared in the advertising hosted on the XXX portal.

This did not please the American at all, so he decided to take action, demanding the site not only to remove the image but also to pay him 3 million dollars (1,900 million Chilean pesos) for emotional anguish, damage to his reputation and "profits of the offender".

The lawsuit states that it was Kelly himself who took the photograph, and that someone from Pornhub's advertising team found the image, using it without the young person's consent.

According to the complaint, the image remained on the site of pornographic videos for at least six years, adding that those who saw it "could reasonably think that (Kelly) gave his consent to the site to use it."

Corey Price, Vice President of Pornhub, told Gizmodo that although they generally do not comment on legal proceedings in progress, he assures that they did not create the controversial announcement from the site.

"Our advertising banners are executed through third-party networks, in which the sponsors directly publish their content," he said.
