Let's be clear from the beginning 
the green smoothies do not work miracles to lose weight.  We all know the stereotypical image of a person with an athletic and muscular body coming out of the gym in T-shirt and tennis, panting and snorting after a hard workout. With sweat dripping from his forehead and drinking a refreshing green shake to nourish his body.
But do not be fooled the shake is not the reason why that person is in shape. Of course green smoothies are healthy in general. They are the equivalent of a dense food full of nutrients that can be taken in minutes. Hence its growing popularity a healthy food, easy to prepare and quick to digest.
Of course, taking green smoothies will help you reach your health goals and get fit. Eating Vegetables helps burn fat and reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes and strokes and green shakes is a good way to increase our consumption of these foods.
The "Marketing Daily" states that the sales of the smothies (shakes) increased almost 80 percent in the span of 5 years of 2002-2007.
If you take a bad diet green shakes are not a magic remedy and all-powerful that will make you lose weight. If you eat a hamburger with cheese and bacon, and accompany it with a super healthy green smoothie that will not counteract the saturated fat burner arteries of the burger or all the empty calories it contains.

But in combination with a healthy diet and exercise, the shakes will put you in the fast track of health and well-being you're looking for, whether your goal is to lose weight, build muscle, burn fat, or generally improve your health.
Finally be careful with the shakes you buy in businesses dedicated to selling juices or fast food as not always those shakes are as healthy as you think, since many times they add sugar or other ingredients that make them have too many calories. That's why the smoothies you prepare at home will always be healthier.

Fat Burning Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
½ cup of frozen blueberries 
¼ cup of unsweetened yogurt 
1 slice of pineapple 
¼ cup of green tea ice cream 
1 handful of ice cubes 
Directions:
1. Mix fruit and yogurt in a blender 
2. Mix green tea and ice 
3. Mix until smooth
Why it works:   The antioxidants in blueberries help to undo belly fat and green tea increases the metabolic rate. Also, pineapple contains a unique compound called bromelain that facilitates the burning of fat. "
