There are calories to calories

PC

We've all heard the term "calories."
But you knew that until I entered the calories there are differences. For example, a 600-ml bottle of coke has 250 calories, according to what its nutrition label says. And maybe you wonder, what's that? What is not a calorie just a calorie? The answer to the second question is a resounding "NO".
If we look more closely. According to the label, those 250 calories are composed only of sugar (carbohydrates). Incredibly, it contains more than 60 grams of sugar!
There is something very important that you have to understand about the consumption of food. A calorie is simply a unit that measures the amount of energy required to raise 1 degree C. the temperature of a gram of water.
There are calories to calories

All food contains energy (calories) or potential fuel so that the body can operate and perform all its functions. That is why it is essential that you consume "good" calories so that your body can perform its daily tasks and be able to carry out your exercise routine to get fit.

But keep in mind that not all calories have the same quality and in fact there are some calories that it is better to avoid altogether.
That is why it is necessary that you select well from where you are going to take your calories. The foods you eat are divided into 3 basic categories: fats, proteins, and carbohydrates.
Of the 3, fats contain more than twice the number of calories per gram of protein and carbohydrates. One gram of fat contains 9 calories while one gram of carbohydrate or protein provides only 4 calories.
In other words, 1 gram of fat with 9 calories contains more calories than 1 gram of protein and 1 gram of carbohydrates together that would be 8 calories.
But that's not the whole story with the calories from fats. The calories coming from fat go almost directly to swell the waist. This is because your body requires very little or no energy to digest fats. Only 3% of the energy created by the calories from fats are used in the digestion process. This also happens with refined sugars.
In comparison, much more energy is required to digest the calories of protein or complex carbohydrates. In fact, in laboratory studies it has been proven that about 15% of the calories are required whether they are protein or unrefined complex carbohydrates just to complete the digestion process.
So now you know that if you consume fat or sugar (refined carbohydrates), you are feeding your body with calories that almost do not require digestion. And since most of us do not lead a life in which you require this excess of calories as a mountain climber these refined calories are immediately stored as fat in your body. Which is not good at all.
That is why it is imperative that you learn to eat enough quality food to have a healthy body and be able to perform all your daily tasks with energy.
